5x Joyous Sunset Drinks in Canggu and Seminyak

Don’t leave Bali without having seen a mindblowing, pinkish sunset sky. It’s part of the Bali experience and sunsets are a huge thing here. The day is planned around this hour of magic. Expats would catch up over a sunset drink. It’s the time we come together and enjoy the present moment of being alive.

Let me take you through my favorite spots to meet my friends over sunset drinks in Canggu and Seminyak.

707 Beachberm

707 is the place I would go for a laid-back sunset drink in Seminyak (officially Kerobokan). It’s at the end of Batu Belig and the closest beach to my home. Not the most beautiful one (by far not), but it has a cool Berlin feeling to it. It’s raw and trendy and one of the most laid-back beach clubs you will find in Bali. Entirely open and built from wood, which gives the ultimate bohemian feeling. They serve local food and some cocktails. They often play techno and would throw rave-inspired parties.

The Lawn

If I would feel for a sunset spot that’s a little fancier, I would go The Lawn in Canggu (Batu Belong area). It’s one of those new places that got super popular in no time. And no wonder why. It has a luxury bohemian vibe, great food & drinks, and a holiday atmosphere. The infinity pool, together with the boho umbrellas and cute lights, makes it one of the cutest sunset spots in Bali.

And they throw a party every Friday night: my favorite party in Canggu.

The Slow Rooftop

As you might now, I love love love The Slow. This place makes me feel so comfortable and at ease. Many might not know, but they have a really nice rooftop terrace where you can enjoy Bali sunset’s from a higher point. A luxury, laid-back feeling with a view over Canggu. Pretty perfect if you ask me.

La Laguna

La Laguna is a little fairytale real-life. It’s by the same owners of La Favela (a popular nightclub in Seminyak) but with a picnic kinda setting. The concept is really creative and takes you to a land full of dreams and fairytales. They often charge a 300K minimum spend, so that’s why I wouldn’t go here for sunset drinks every single day. But that makes it more special every time I do come here!

The Naked Coconut

If you would love a sunset spot even more improvised and laid-back than 707 Beachberm, The Naked Coconut might be the right place for you. It’s in an upcoming and growing Canggu area called Berawa. Enter the beach at Finns Beach Club and head to the right side (also on: 5x most trendy and fun beaches in Bali). Walk about ten minutes and you will find a little wooden cabin with colorful bean bags. Order a coconut and relax into the night.
