Craveiral: Luxury Farmhouse in Alentejo

I just came back from a long weekend at Luxury Farmhouse Craveiral. I had the most relaxing days, with ultimate comfort and lots of sunshine, to make my body and soul calm down ultimately. The best type of vacation if you would ask me, without a doubt.

Craveiral is a farmhouse established with the idea to connect with the earth and enjoy doing nothing. This luxury farmhouse in the middle of Alentejo couldn’t be more aligned with Tao Travels’ philosophy. To get even more in the yin energy, we did a yoga session every morning. Nevertheless, Craveiral offers a wide variety of things to do when we need a little bit more yang energy. Like horse riding, surf classes and we personally choose to do some biking and quad riding to see the beautiful surroundings of the farm.

We stayed in the Farmer’s WeWood house which was perfect for us as a young couple. Craveiral is popular among families with small kids, but the area of the WeWood houses is for adults only. A peaceful corner at Craveiral close to its farm and a gorgeous semi-private swimming pool.

Our apartment had a stylish interior design full of Scandinavian minimalism: lots of wooden furniture, chalkboard SMEG fridge, and not to forget, a beautifully designed cork bath. The apartment had everything that made us feel home and comfortable. We even tried out our cooking skills in WeWood’s kitchen and made a yummy vegan risotto. We found that the kitchen is pretty much fully equipped. 

Craveiral was the perfect little getaway for us. We arrived back home in Lisbon in a totally zen vibe. Do you feel like escaping the city and get back to our earthy roots whilst encircled by luxury and comfort? I definitely recommend some days at this beautiful farmhouse. Do some yoga, bike around to soak up nature, ride a horse, and also don’t forget to do nothing at all.
