Lisbon for Digital Nomads: Best Cafes With Good Wifi

It might sound silly, but my mornings behind my laptop are my favorites. I love to walk around the city, often just simply with my laptop and agenda in my arms (that’s how save I feel in Lisbon), to find new breakfast hotspots and cafes with good wifi to do some work. I’m an online entrepreneur and digital nomad, and most of my mornings, I dedicate to work behind my laptop. In the afternoons, I would often meet up with friends and shoot some content for my Instagram page. After living a full year in Lisbon, I will tell you the best cafes with good wifi connections!

Copenhagen Coffee Label
Copenhagen in Lisbon, yup. There are four different Copenhagen coffee lab‘s to be found in Lisbon. The one if Alfama is my personal favorite because of the gorgeous space, smell of the bakery and outdoor terrace. Wifi isn’t always that strong though. The one in Alcanatara has the best “work” ambiance with better wifi and they organize a co-working day every Monday.

Comoba
I also love to do work for a couple of hours at Comoba in Cais do Sodré sometimes. They got some big tables in the back where more people will be working behind the laptops. The wifi is always good enough for me personally, but not super strong. I would go here on hot summer days, as the cafe is built in a cave which stays comfortably cool (but too cold on some winter days).

Fauna & Flora
You might know Fauna & Flora from exploring the area Santos, but they recently openend doors in an upcoming area called “Anjos”. Lucky me, because it’s on walking distance from my new home. Great news! I love their food and I love the environment to do some work. Perhaps the heaps amount of plants has it’s positive effects! 😉

Cafe da Garagem
A theatre with a cafe that has a incredibly beautiful view over the city, which makes it the perfect workspot if you’re seeking some inspiration. Note: they aren’t open before 5PM, so only suitable for afternoon work! (perhaps when last night got a little late)

lisbon cafe manifest

Manifest
A super trendy coffee spot with a cool and artsy interior style that’s located in my old neighborhood. Might be a bit out of the way, but definitely worth going, especially if combined with a visit to rooftopbar Limão and Parque Eduardo. Really good wifi, comfortable chairs and great coffee! At night, they turn into a hip restaurant.

Stanislav
Opened this year by the owners of Fabrica Coffee Roasters. Slightly more boring that the cafes mentioned above, but sometimes boring is good if you got a big to-do list to tick off. Great wifi, plenty of plugs and some regulars wooden chairs and tables that give a better body posture that many other cafes.

I personally wouldn’t go to popular places such as Nicolau and Basilio to do some work. They often have huge lines and don’t really appreciate people behind their laptops.
